The Birth Of
An Institution
Dr. Ravichandar was born and brought up in Sholinghur, near Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. He completed his schooling in his native and moved to Bangalore where he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.Looking after his parents and 3 of his sisters, he grew up not only responsible but also developed a hunger to make big in life.
It all started when he watched the movie, “ManathilUruthiVendum” (Need Brave Heart). The female lead role named “Nandhini”, inspired him the most as the role mainly dealt with taking care of the entire family single-handedly which was no different from his life.
Retaining the motivation which he drew from the same, during the year 1989, Dr. Ravichandar had converted his dream into reality by starting an Andhra Style Family Restaurant at Minerva Circle, Bangalore as a managing partner. He named the Restaurant “Hotel Nandhini Deluxe” in memory of the female character in the movie which inspired and motivated him to retain his dream intact until it was converted into reality. Subsequently, he got relieved from the group due to compelling circumstances.
In 1997 Dr. Ravichandar began to independently run his dream venture by renaming it to Nandhana Palace. Dedicating the brand of Nandhana (meaning “daughter” in Sanskrit) to his daughters, he restarted as an entrepreneur with new dreams, new aims, new ideas, and new achievements. Amidst all the hardships, Nandhana is now built into a celebrated new stand-alone brand altogether. Winning numerous recognitions and awards, today Nandhana holds the legacy of being one of the pioneers in introducing Andhra Cuisine to Bangalore.

There is a floor exclusively dedicated to upholding the traditions of the country. Reflecting the same, the floor characterizes food served on desi banana leaf. Next is the floor specialized in multi-cuisine is called “Sitara“, the Fine dining. In addition to the chief Andhra cuisine, our chefs also put together, numerous cuisines like Chinese, Tandoor and more. And then we have the bar format with a range of liquor, alcohol, and mocktail, in 7 of our outlets; out of which, Sutra Spice is Nandhana’s premium bar.
Each property individually has hand-picked furnishing and carefully chosen amenities. All our guest rooms reflect rich elegance with plush furnishing and ergonomic amenities. Most importantly our rooms exude comfort with a cozy ambience to offer a memorable stay. The Nandhana Hotels brand is today recognized for its warm hospitality in Bangalore.
