Our Journey
Dr. Ravichandar was born and brought up in Sholinghur, near Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. He completed his schooling in his native and moved to Bangalore where he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. Looking after his parents and 3 of his sisters, he grew up not only responsible but also developed a hunger to make big in life.
Dr. R. Ravichandar’s journey started when he watched a Tamil movie titled “Manathil Urudivendum”, directed by K. Balachandar. The story depicted the struggles, determination and eventual success of the lead female character (Suhasini). Drawing inspiration from this story, Dr. Ravichandar decided to embark on his journey to fulfil his dream as a successful restaurateur.
Eventually, in 2004 Dr. Ravichandar began to independently run his dream venture by naming it as “Nandhana Palace”. Dedicating the brand of Nandhana (meaning “daughter” in Sanskrit) to his daughters, he started as an entrepreneur with new dreams, new aims, new ideas, and new achievements. From 2004 to 2015, he opened 9 branches in Bengaluru. Thereafter his daughters joined hands with him to help in further developing and growing the business. Amidst all the hardships and struggles, they went on to grow rapidly, and in a span of eight years, and expanded their business from nine (9) branches to twenty five (25) Andhra style restaurants across Bengaluru and Chennai.

Winning numerous recognitions and awards, today Nandhana holds the legacy of being one of the pioneers in introducing Andhra Cuisine to Bangalore. Nandhana Palace has evolved into a celebrated new stand-alone brand altogether and among the among the leading restaurant chains that serve Andhra food in Bangalore. Nandhana provides a unique eating experience to its esteemed customers by serving various cuisines with utmost care and hospitality that make them feel at home. Quality, attentive service, and enjoyable ambience are the hallmarks of Nandhana and it has won numerous awards in recognition of the same.
